My Response: Raccoons aren't necessarily harmful to you personally, but they are destructive to your property. If you cover up the opening at this point, the raccoons will simply tear it Valrico animal control open again. They've got to be removed from the area. But yes, there's a chance of babies (I'm not sure if any are born yet in Florida), so they should be checked for. Then again, two adults might mean no babies. Usually it's just one adult Valrico pest control female. Did you find someone to help you?

David, Thank you for your prompt response. I called a few companies early this morning (4-5A) and got a return call around 8A (Sun). Spoke to the owner of a company, and he Valrico pest control sent someone out this morning, and 2 traps have already been set. He highly recommended that I do not crawl around attic myself as the raccoons could get defensive and maybe aggressive if cornered, and I don't want to get Valrico wildlife removal hurt or bit. David, Thank you very much for your response. Let me give you the summary timeline of what has happened since last Saturday night/Sunday morning. I called and left messages on that Valrico wildlife removal Sunday morning about 5A with 4 companies. One of them was the company (Creature Catchers?) you recommended.

I got a callback at 8A Sunday morning from a company called The Wildlife Control Company, Inc. He (owner Dirk Scherer) claimed to be in business 20 years, was licensed by the state of Florida, and claimed to have a lot of experience with raccoons. He recommended that I NOT crawl around in the attic to see what's going on, because the raccoon (s) could be territorial, and maybe attack me if he (she) was cornered.

I hired them to come out, and they came out Valrico animal trapping Sunday morning and set 2 traps, one on the deck, and one near a front downspout, which they determined could be ways to climb onto my roof (ranch house). Two other companies, including the company you recommended, call me back Monday morning, but by that Valrico animal trapping time I had hired someone.

He recommended to leave the hole open Valrico exterminator to encourage them to come and go if they are indeed using my attic as a "home." Monday morning I noticed that some bait (marshmallows) were removed from the trap on the deck, and the door was closed, but nothing was trapped. Nothing Valrico exterminator was touched at the trap near the front downspout.
